Blackpool Pleasure Beach in glorious sunshine is a fabulous place to be and we were lucky enough to spend a few hours rambling around on beautiful hot summer day. Of course the beach is famous for lots of things – the Tower, the Piers and of course the Donkeys. The beach wouldn’t be the same without them.
As well as the beach, the Pier is a fantastic place to browse as it’s filled with little shops, booths and stalls, with the owners doing their best to relieve you of your cash. You can get everything from ice cream, candy floss and any amount of cheap plastic tack. You can have your photo taken in a variety of vintage costumes or like this couple, have an artist draw a caricature of you. Seems there was a vacancy for an artist at this one.
Away from the crowds on the pier it was possible to find a quiet spot to sit and read a book along the promenade wall.
I’ve said it before but Blackpool really is the typical English seaside resort but it’s a fantastic spot to sit and watch the world go by. I’ve posted some shots previously both here and here, so why not have a look and maybe let me know what you think.
