Podium finish for Alertness CRC Project Presentation
Seeing Machines' Research Scientist, Jonny Kuo was awarded Best Presentation for his paper titled “Distraction in shift-workers during naturalistic driving” at the 6th International Symposium on Naturalistic Driving Research, held in the Netherlands in June.
Jonny presented our on-road driver monitoring research with Alertness CRC, assessing the impact of shift work on driver alertness and driving behaviour in the healthcare setting. As part of Alertness CRC’s Healthcare Platform project, Seeing Machines, in collaboration with Institute for Breathing and Sleep (IBAS) and Monash University, monitored 20 nurses working nightshift as they drove to and from their work in an alertness monitoring instrumented car.
The research project featured in Alertness CRC’s 2016 Annual Report. To learn more, click here to access Alertness CRC’s annual reports.
