Launch of new Guardian Live web app
Seeing Machines is thrilled to announce that our new Guardian Live web application is live.
Guardian Live is a web application that enables fleet managers to view and interact with the data generated by the driver fatigue and distraction systems installed in their vehicles.
It is an integral part of the Guardian solution, which detects fatigue and distraction in heavy vehicle drivers and alerts them – in real time – via audible alarms and seat vibrations.
The new web app delivers a superior interface. It is interactive and simple for fleet managers to use. The degree of fatigue risk associated with every vehicle in their fleet can be seen at a glance.
Fatigue is a major cause of truck crash fatalities, with microsleeps and drowsiness impairing a driver’s ability to concentrate on the road ahead.
Guardian Live calculates a driver’s fatigue risk based on the number of confirmed fatigue events logged during a shift. Within minutes of a fatigue event being registered, the Guardian Centre contacts the fleet manager so they can initiate an intervention plan. That might involve having the driver take a break or ending the shift.
Guardian Live enables fleet managers to investigate the time-of-day fatigue and distraction events occur, and the location and duration of all events. They can also review video footage of each event to gain a clearer understanding of driver behaviour in their fleet.
The Guardian in-cab sensor, 24/7 monitoring by the Guardian Centre, and Guardian Live combine to form a complete safety solution. It is scientifically proven to reduce the occurrence of fatigue events by 90%.
Guardian prevents accidents and keeps drivers and other road users safe. This was acknowledged by Guardian Live winning the 2021 Pause Awards B-Good Award, which recognises a company that has done well for the community and the world through their commercial practice.
