Loch Lomond

Loch Lomond Scotland

Well if herself can get a TOTD over on Pix.ie with a shot of Loch Lomond, I’m not going to be left out!

Here’s my one and only landscape from our trip to Scotland and what a lovely place to take it. Loch Lomond is a beautiful place but unfortunately we didn’t have a lot of time to see it. We left Glasgow in glorious sunshine and drove the few miles up to the Loch. By the time we got there it was 3° and pelting sleet, so between sheltering in the car and shopping in the visitor centre, we didn’t get to see much of the Loch. When the rain did stop and the late evening sun peeped through, it lit up the distant snow capped mountains beautifully. We made a mad dash for the cameras and fired off a few shots with whatever lenses happened to be on them. Lorraine had the 70-200 on hers so she got a bit closer to the distant mountains and I had her 24-70 on my camera, hence the wider shot.

So that’s me and landscapes done for another year. My only regret is we had no swans in the foreground……….
