Guardian Gen 2 awarded prestigious Good Design Award®
Guardian Gen 2, Seeing Machines’ second generation commercial fleet product, was awarded for its outstanding design, receiving a Good Design Award® at the 60th Annual Good Design Awards.
The Good Design Awards program is widely recognised and seeks to ‘proudly showcase superior examples of good design to a national and international audience’. The Guardian Gen 2 solution received a Gold award in the Product Design category. The award is excellent recognition of the innovation and design work that the Seeing Machines team has undertaken to develop the new Guardian Gen 2 solution.
The improved Guardian Gen 2 solution is the next iteration of Seeing Machines’ Driver Monitoring System (DMS) for the commercial fleet industry. It allows Seeing Machines to continue providing existing and future clients with a real-time intervention solution, preventing the significant risks associated with fatigue and distraction that commercial drivers face daily.
“This product has the potential to be a real game changer”, commented the Good Design Awards Jury. “It addresses the societal problem of driver fatigue and distraction and is a clever technology and real-time intervention to alert a driver if they are at risk of an accident. The industrial design is on the money and turns the high-tech behind this device into an intuitive, class-leading product that has the potential to save lives and property. Well done.”
